The Arcane Balance

Draw or write about your Faian synchronizing their magic with Alastor’s to balance the spell.

The Archmage Alastor stands at the very tip of the wooden platform, his silhouette framed by the dark smog before him. To keep his massive spell from tearing itself apart during the preparation phase, Arcane Mages must act as stabilizers, using their matching affinity to synchronize with Alastor and balance the spell. This will ensure that the magic is contained and doesn’t shatter the wooden platform (or Alastor) before they leave for the shore.

Damage Output

Wisp to Damage Ratio = 1 to 1

Completing the minimum prompt requirements deals 150 damage to The Vanishing Light: Arcane.

 

Affinity Level Boost

When depicting your Faian using their Affinity magic, the Damage Ratio is boosted by + ((Affinity Level - 1) / 2). For example, if your Faian's Affinity Level is 4, the Damage Ratio becomes 1 + 1.5 = 2.5, and completing the minimum prompt requirements deals (150)(2.5) = 375 damage.

Affinity Level can be increased through the Mage's Academy. More information in the Mage's Academy Guide.
Timeline Note: This story occurs prior to the awakening of the first Ruptour. Therefore, although Ruptours can participate in these prompts for ARPG purposes, it is not considered canon.
