Rampant flame

Draw any adult Candle Noodle.

Candle noodles were brought into Faia at the same time as Tortuvina, with the goal to light up Faia, just as the Tortuvina were to light up the sea and sky. They were blessed by Uvemora to multiply in great numbers so that they could spread across the continent, and as such, the number of noodles across Faia exploded.

Effervescent lantern

Draw any adult Lumendra.

Initially, before Faia was created, the deities created lumendra in order to aid the spirits in the Underworld. With their lantern lures, they were meant to light the paths of new spirits and guide them to their resting grounds. However, due to their mischievous nature, they proved to be very difficult to control. As such, they were sent to Faia.

Bottled Mist

Draw any adult Tortuvina.

Tortuvina were created by the deities as one of the two Lightkeeper species, the other being the Candle Noodles, specially for Faia. Their large size and incredible wisdom meant that they were optimal to guide the freshly created Faia, ward off the Wither, and, of course, provide Light to the skies and seas.

Seymour
Being a Tortuvina comes in very handy as an explorer. We are always chosen to lead expeditions, as our light reaches the furthest.

Spirit blade

Draw any adult Ruptour.

The Ruptours were created by the deities to serve as guardians of the Archways. But over time, Ruptours grew restless, and created tension within their own groups, partly influenced by unease over the Wither. When the tensions grew too high and the groups were filled with distrust, they finally met at Rosehaven... and thus, began the Ruptour War.

High spirits

Draw or write about your Faian boosting morale around the Outpost.

Wingwatch is cold and, quite frankly, a miserable place to be. To keep morale from plummeting, Faians have been tasked with providing comfort in a variety of ways: brewing massive pots of tea, distributing warm cloaks, playing a bit of music, or even just telling a joke to the stressed Mages. Keeping spirits high is just as important as the spell itself.

The Faerie Lattice

Draw or write about your Faian weaving a magical lattice.

A single beam of spellwork is easily swallowed by the shadows of Raydes. To be effective, the spell must be able to diffuse into a wide aura. Fae Mages stand along the edges of the platform, weaving a complex lattice structure designed to split the light. When the spell is released, this lattice will allow it to ripple outward in a vast, cleansing net, covering every inch of Raydes.

Watch duty

Draw or write about your Faian on watch duty.

Just in case the weather turns or if something emerges from the dark fog below, several Faians man a series of long-ranged telescopes and signal flags from the highest point of the Outpost. Keeping a constant eye on the horizon for changes in the Wither, the safety of every soul on the cliff depends on their alertness.

The Divine Purification

Draw or write about your Faian purifying the smog.

To ensure the spell strikes with precision when the crew lands, the atmospheric interference from the smog above Raydes must be dealt with in advance. Divine Mages occupy the highest points of the Outpost, using their magic to weaken the density of the distant clouds. The purified area that they are creating will prevent the final spell from being choked by smog when it is released.

Heavy Haul

Draw or write about your Faian transporting crates.

The altitude of the Wingwatch Outpost makes it hard for flightless Faians to move goods. A pulley system has been rigged up the cliffside to bring up crates of food, wood, and blankets. Strong Faians are constantly unloading these massive crates from the system and hauling them to the storage tents. It’s grueling work, but someone has to keep the Mages fed and warm!

I expect every crate in the tent by sundown! Those Mages will be useless tomorrow if they’re shivering and hungry. Move!!

The Bestial Battery

Draw or write about your Faian channeling their magic into the crystals.

Alastor’s spell requires immense stored energy to retain its power until it is ready to cast. Stationed at the base of the wooden platform, Beast Mages are tasked with channeling, pouring their inner strength into crystals that store and charge the longevity of the spell. It’s a pretty blunt approach, but the Archmages couldn’t think of anything better either.

Safety lanterns

Draw or write about your Faian maintaining the Outpost’s lanterns.

The Outpost’s cliffside paths are precarious, especially when the winds pick up. To ensure the safety of the Mages and supply crews, a network of lanterns have been installed throughout the Outpost. Brave Faians are tasked with maintenance, climbing ladders and navigating scaffolding to refill and polish these lanterns. Without them, the sheer drop from the Wingwatch cliffs becomes a real safety hazard in the dark.

The Arcane Balance

Draw or write about your Faian synchronizing their magic with Alastor’s to balance the spell.

The Archmage Alastor stands at the very tip of the wooden platform, his silhouette framed by the dark smog before him. To keep his massive spell from tearing itself apart during the preparation phase, Arcane Mages must act as stabilizers, using their matching affinity to synchronize with Alastor and balance the spell. This will ensure that the magic is contained and doesn’t shatter the wooden platform (or Alastor) before they leave for the shore.

Unloading the harvest

The Harvest Festival is only made possible by preparations behind the scenes. The process begins with the unloading of airships, as Faians take crates of fresh produce to the storage tents. Next, the produce must be meticulously sorted and prepared for cooking. Though tedious, this collaborative effort, accompanied by songs and friendly banter, is a unique experience that makes the Festival feel even more meaningful!

Vegetable carving

With vegetables arriving by the crate-ful, it is impossible for them all to be used up in cooking. The solution: vegetable carving! Surplus vegetables are deposited in workshops, where Faia’s creatives are free to decorate and shape them to their heart’s desires. Many parents will bring their children to these workshops as an introduction to artisan crafts.

Evening Bonfires

Draw or write about a Faian experiencing an evening bonfire.

As the evening air grows cool, Faians gather around a massive bonfire to relax and wind down. They take turns sharing stories, both of their own life and made-up, while taking advantage of the fire to roast all sorts of treats. Sometimes, there's even live music and dancing!

The Golden Acre always saves the driest wheat husks for bonfires, just to make sure the sparks fly high into the sky!

Soup of the day

What is today’s Soup of the Day? Check the bulletin board to find out! Each day of the Harvest Festival, an enormous cauldron is set up, and Faians from around the Realm are invited to contribute an ingredient of their choosing. Soup is served at the end of the day- and somehow, it always turns out tasty (the cauldron is probably enchanted)!
