The gilded quill
The Gilded Quill is the esteemed guild of scholars, historians, and intellectuals. They serve as the collective memory of Faia, dedicated to collecting and preserving a copy of every written text in their Grand Archives. In addition to the preservation of knowledge, the Quill also strives to expand Faian knowledge, with their current focus being uncovering the events of the pre-Lightkeeper Ruptour War.

HIERARCHY & MEMBERSHIP
The Quill is led by a council of Loremasters, each an expert in a different field of study. Members include scholars, historians, librarians, philosophers, cartographers, and educators. Membership is open to anyone engaged in the expansion and preservation of knowledge.
STANDING & FUNDING
The Gilded Quill is highly respected for its intellectual contributions. Higher ranking scholars are often granted free passage on ships and airships by the Wayfinder’s Pact. The Quill is mainly funded through grants from the Lightkeeper Council, fees for researching specialized information, and the sale of published works. They also receive donations, typically from wealthy patrons, but occasionally from the Mage’s Academy as well.
