Feast fun!

It was around midday when Yuan Yuan and Koi were walking along the pathway towards their village when they spotted a poster on the bulletin board; “Grand feast tonight! Be sure to show up hungry!”. Yuan yuan excitedly turned towards Koi, eyes sparkling in joy. Koi raised an eyebrow before he let out a short sigh. “You want to go right? I mean, we don’t have any plans tonight anyways.” Koi smirked knowingly. “Oh yes PLEASE! I knew you’d be on my side for this one Koi!” Yuan yuan spun around and seemed to hop about a little more than usual. Koi let out another laugh, and noted down the address for the feast on a notepad. Then, they continued down the path to their little cottage to settle down before the feast later that night. Once they finally got home, Yuan yuan threw open the door and bounded on inside, hurriedly scavenging through their closet. Koi stepped through the door and closed it behind him before walking closer to Yuan yuan to see what he was doing. He whipped his head around and held a bright yellow scarf in his paws up for Koi to see. The dandelion yellow sort of glimmered in the sunlight, and had a dim glow to it that made it all the more attractive. “I’m sooo going to wear this to the feast, I'm gonna look epic! How about you Koi? What will you wear?” Koi studied the messy closet for a moment before reaching in and pulling out a rather dashing purple hat with a velvety texture. He positioned the hat on his head and glanced in the mirror to check out the fit. The hat complimented his red spots, and it looked quite fitting atop his head. Koi turned back to Yuan yuan and tilted his hat cheekily. “How about this one? I must say I think it looks quite good on me, no?” Yuan yuan beamed at Koi, and nodded his head encouragingly. “Dang, it actually does work well on you! I can’t wait to outshine everyone at the feast tonight with our fits!” Yuan yuan threw a fist into the air, and Koi let out a giggle. 

Soon enough, the afternoon came and went and the moon rose steadily in the night sky. Koi looked up at the clock on the wall and nudged Yuan yuan to get his attention. Yuan yuan perked up and jumped up from where he was standing and practically ran out the door in excitement. Koi followed him shortly behind. They walked along the path towards the feast, and met several other Lumendras from the village also treading towards the feast. Finally, they arrived at the feast and stepped through the doors to find a glowing hallway lined with tables and chairs. The ceiling was decorated with banners and tapestries that shone in the warm glow of the chandeliers above, casting a soft shadow along the walls. Yuan yuan and Koi soon found themselves two empty seats next to each other, and sat down. There were hundreds of plates and cups lining the tables, each with a Lumendra seated in front of it. Just as Koi heard his own belly rumble a little, the back doors burst open with Faians carrying carts filled with food and drinks. Soon enough, the tables were set with jugs of punch and tea and every Lumendra was hurriedly filling up their own cups with the beverages. Once everyone had gotten their drinks, the waiters and waitresses began serving the food amongst the Lumendras. A waiter set down a large slice of shepherd's pie onto Koi and Yuan Yuan’s plates, and Yuan yuan’s mouth was practically drooling in hunger. Then, the mess hall bell was rung and everyone began to dig in. Almost as quickly as the food came, it was gone in an instant. Yuan yuan wiped his mouth satisfied, and looked around ready for the next course. As the night drew on and meal after meal was served and eaten, it was time for the desserts. Koi eyed the server walking by with bowls of ice cream with cherries on top, and smiled delightedly when the waiter finally served him a bowl. They both eagerly wolfed down the sweet treat happily, and let out a satisfied sigh once they were both through with them. 

It was almost midnight when the feast finally ended, and Koi and Yuan yuan walked out of the hall with full bellies and the happiest smile a Lumendra could boast. Yuan yuan looked over at Koi, and smiled. “I knew this would be a great idea! Hopefully the food hangover won't be too bad in the morning.” Koi laughed at his joke, too tired to be a stickler. “Yeah, totally the best feast ever!”
