Blue hour

Draw or write about a Faian experiencing the Blue Hour.

In February, Faia experiences a nightly phenomenon known as the "Blue-Hour." Because many sky islands are so high in the atmosphere, twilight lasts longer for them, turning everything into a deep, vibrant indigo. Faians believe that during this hour, their natural Light sources are at their purest color, and many stand at their windows just to watch their own glow reflect against the blue world outside.

The sniffles

Draw or write about a Faian dealing with sickness.

Frost Season likes to leave a parting gift: sickness. On top of the signature sniffles, sickness causes a Faian’s natural light source to dim, occasionally fizzling and producing sparks of flickering colors. To combat this, the Alchemist’s Guild works overtime brewing Amurene, a glowing syrup made from crushed Amure Berries that helps stabilize a flickering light. Amurene has a strange, velvet-like consistency, but at least it tastes nice and floral.

Pandora
No offense, but get away from me and go see a healer. You’re like a whole Frostfire Display… thank the Deities I don’t have that problem.

Sorting seeds

Draw or write about a Faian sorting seeds to prepare for planting.

As the thaw begins, it is time to sift through the stores of seeds gathered from the previous year. Because many Faian plants grow on the underside of sky islands, their seeds are naturally buoyant. If you aren't careful when opening a pouch, a gust of wind might send your entire future garden drifting toward the clouds! Will you be sorting indoors this year, or are you chasing runaway seeds across the floor?
